On June 11, 2015, Plaintiff, 65, was at her apartment when the ceiling collapsed and struck her causing her injuries. Our office was retained immediately when the incident happened and we were able to investigate and find out that the property owners and management company had been given continuous notice of dangerous and unsafe conditions of the building and specifically the condition of the ceiling, yet they failed to correct it. On behalf of the Plaintiff, we sued the property owners, the management company and their contracted maintenance company. Defendants claimed they had no prior notice of the deteriorated condition of the ceiling that collapsed. Short of trial, the case was resolved at mediation for $1,000,000.00
